During 2015 the Council invested in the creation of 63 new second-storey beach huts, and refurbished 134 existing huts to help meet the demand from local residents and generate additional income.

Alterations to existing brick shelter to form a total of 16 beach huts on two levels, plus a new wheelchair accessible ramp and WC, external refurbishment of existing male and female toilets.
