Canford Cliffs Beach Huts & Pavilion Café

The Project

The art deco style beach pavilion is to be converted into a café with terrace, toilets refurbished, and 89 new beach huts constructed. 102 existing beach huts are to be re-built and a further 4 beach huts refurbished.

Councillors have approved a total investment of £7.3 million to secure the cliff, protect the road and deliver this exciting seafront development during 2019/20

PROGRESS UPDATES

  • February 2019 Recommendations for cliff stabilisation works and delivering the development project discussed at Borough of Poole Cabinet meeting on 5th February, and at Full Council 19th February. Planned completion 2020. Details in the Cabinet Report (Agenda Item 5) (pdf)
  • January 2019 Planning permissions granted for 4 x planning applications as detailed below
